Explore the history of Tashkent, Urgench, Khiva, Samarkand, and Bukhara—the birthplace of the eminent scholar of Hadith, Imam al-Bukhari. Our itinerary includes historical and sightseeing tours, masjid visits, and daily Hadith lectures with our instructor. All are welcome on this family-friendly trip to Uzbekistan.

Itinerary

Daily lectures with Instructors included

Day 1 (Sunday, July 28th): Arrival in Tashkent

  • Upon your arrival in Tashkent on flight TK 370 at 00:50, you will be transferred to the hotel and checked in. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and take some time to rest. 

  • 10:00 AM - Orientation at the hotel.

  • At 11:00 AM, embark on a captivating sightseeing tour in Tashkent. Explore the Old City part of Tashkent, including the Khast-Imam Complex, where the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman is preserved. Visit the Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at Barakhan Madrasah.

  • Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM in an Uzbek restaurant.

  • Explore the city center, including Amir Temur Square, Independence Square, and the Applied Arts Museum.

  • Have dinner at 6:30 PM at the hotel restaurant.

  • After dinner, enjoy a one-hour lecture at the hotel restaurant.

  • Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 2 (Monday, July 29th): Tashkent-Urgench-Khiva

  • Start the day with a breakfast box and then transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Urgench.

  • Upon arrival in Urgench, you will be transferred to your hotel in Khiva, a 40-minute drive away.

  • Enjoy a tea/coffee break at the hotel upon arrival and check-in. Free time to explore and relax.

  • 1:00 PM: lunch at Yasaulbashi restaurant.

  • After lunch, embark on a sightseeing tour in Khiva, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site Ichan-Qala fortress. Explore Kunya-Ark, Sayeed Alauddin Mausoleum, Arab-Mukhamadkhan Madrasah, Oq-Masjid Mosque, Madrasah of Hodjan Berdi-biya, Shirgazikhan, Abdullakhan, Juma Mosque, Allakulikhan Madrasah, Tosh-Khovli Palace, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, and the Minaret of Islom-Khoja.

  • 6:30 PM: Dinner at the hotel.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at a madrasah or mosque.

  • Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3 (Tuesday, July 30th): Khiva-Urgench-Tashkent-Bukhara

  • In the morning, transfer to Urgench airport for a flight to Tashkent.

  • Arrive in Tashkent and attend a lecture from 11:30 AM to 12:20 PM at the hotel.

  • 1:00 PM: Lunch.

  • Visit Chor-Su Bazar in the Old City part of Tashkent.

  • Have an early dinner.

  • Transfer to the train station and take the evening train to Bukhara from 6:45 PM to 10:37 PM.

  • Upon arrival in Bukhara, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4 (Wednesday, July 31st): Bukhara

  • Begin your day with a sightseeing tour in Bukhara at 8:00 AM. Visit the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and Miri-Arab Madrasah, as well as Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrasahs.

  • Enjoy lunch at Old Bukhara restaurant at 1:00 PM.

  • In the afternoon, visit the Samani dynasty mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, and the Arc fortress.

  • Have dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Attend a lecture during the day at a madrasah or mosque, and another lecture in the hotel conference hall.

  • Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 5 (Thursday, August 1st): Bukhara-Samarkand

  • Begin the day with a visit to monuments outside of Bukhara, including Bakhouddin Naqshband Mausoleum and Chor-Bakr Necropolis.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at Bakhouddin Naqshband Mausoleum.

  • Enjoy lunch at Ipak Yoli restaurant at 1:00 PM.

  • In the afternoon, transfer to the train station and take the train to Tashkent from 3:55 PM to 5:40 PM.

  • Arrive in Samarkand and transfer to the hotel.

  • Have dinner at 6:30 PM at the hotel.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

  • Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 6 (Friday, August 2nd): Samarkand

  • Start your day with a sightseeing tour in Samarkand at 9:00 AM. Visit Gur-Emir mausoleum, Registan Square, and Khazrat-Khizr mosque.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at the mosque.

  • Enjoy lunch at Istiqlol restaurant at 1:00 PM.

  • In the afternoon, visit Ulugbek Observatory and Koni-Ghil mulberry paper workshop.

  • Have dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Overnight at the hotel.

  • Includes breakfast and lunch.

Day 7 (Saturday, August 3rd): Samarkand-Tashkent

  • Continue sightseeing in Samarkand, visiting Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Afrosiab Museum.

  • Attend a 45-minute lecture at the museum.

  • Enjoy lunch at Zargaron restaurant at 1:00 PM.

  • Continue sightseeing with a visit to Bibi Khanum Mosque and Siyob Bazar.

  • In the late afternoon, take the train to Tashkent at 5:00 PM and arrive in Tashkent at 7:10 PM. Transfer to the hotel.

  • Overnight at the hotel.

  • Includes breakfast and lunch. 

Day 8 (Sunday, August 4th): Tashkent

  • Departure.
