Module 1: Introduction to Arabic Words and Sentences
In this module, we will cover two types of sentences, Nominal Sentences (Jumlah Ismiyyah) and Verbal Sentences (Jumlah Fi’liyyah), and the five fragments that make up the core foundation of Arabic Grammar. Students will also be introduced to the verb conjugations in the past tense, present tense and passive voice. Students will begin translating select portions of the Quran. By the end of Module 1 we will memorize and use 57% of Quranic Vocabulary.
Module 2: An In-Depth Study on Verbs
In this module, we will cover new concepts related to verbs, specifically variations of the present tense and the different contexts in which they appear in the Quran. By the end of Module 2 we will memorize and use 73% of Quranic Vocabulary.
Is This Course for Me?
Can you read the Quran? Don't worry, you don't need to be fast or fluent. You don't need to know tajweed or be able to write in Arabic.
Are you a busy student, working individual, or parent who wants to learn Arabic, but can't commit to a full-time course? This course is perfect for you.
This course will be conducted live online. Each session will be 1 hour per week, from 7:00pm - 8:00pm CDT every Monday and Wednesday. We recommend students to set aside 1-2 hours for exercises and drills outside of class per week. All sessions will be recorded.
